beOnd Accelerates Middle East Expansion: New Bahrain Airline to Serve Global Luxury Travelers

In a major step to strengthen its position in the luxury travel market, beOnd, the world’s first premium leisure airline, has signed a landmark agreement with Bahrain’s aviation authorities. The deal, formalized on February 16, 2026, will see beOnd establish a new airline base in Bahrain, marking a significant expansion of its premium leisure airline network. This move is set to enhance luxury air travel options between Bahrain, the Middle East, Europe, Asia, and North America, offering more choices for discerning travelers seeking comfort, exclusivity, and top-tier service.

beOnd’s growth strategy includes the launch of a new airline in Bahrain, focusing on premium services for leisure and business travelers. The airline plans to base up to 10 aircraft in Bahrain by 2030, contributing significantly to the country’s aviation sector and broader economic development. The proposed airline will serve as a key addition to beOnd’s existing operations in the Maldives and Saudi Arabia, further expanding its footprint in the luxury travel space.

This new venture in Bahrain is part of beOnd’s broader strategy to build a multi-hub premium leisure airline network that spans the globe. The deal follows on the heels of the airline’s expansion plans in Saudi Arabia and its flagship operations in the Maldives, where beOnd has already made significant strides in offering all-premium cabins on narrowbody aircraft. With a fleet that includes Airbus A319 and A321 aircraft, beOnd has already made waves in the airline industry by offering lie-flat seats and top-tier amenities in a boutique setting.

With its focus on luxury and high-end service, beOnd’s new airline in Bahrain will cater to the growing demand for premium leisure travel. This service will connect the Middle East with key international hubs, providing travelers with enhanced comfort and service options. The airline will focus on key markets, offering flights from Bahrain to Europe, the U.S., and Asia, aiming to provide top-tier service across popular leisure destinations.

beOnd’s model revolves around offering exclusive services to a niche market of premium travelers. In addition to all-premium cabins on its aircraft, the airline will offer luxury lounges, high-end onboard dining experiences, and a focus on wellness and comfort. As demand for luxury travel continues to rise, beOnd’s expansion in Bahrain represents a strategic move to capture a growing segment of high-net-worth travelers looking for unique and personalized air travel experiences.

The expansion of beOnd’s operations into Bahrain is not just a win for the airline but also a significant boost to the local economy. Under the deal, beOnd intends to create more than 1,200 direct jobs in the region, with additional opportunities in tourism, hospitality, and logistics sectors. The airline’s operations are expected to generate between $1.2 billion and $1.5 billion in economic impact over the first five years, contributing to Bahrain’s broader economic goals.

This move aligns with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030, which focuses on diversifying the country’s economy and strengthening its position as a leading aviation hub. In addition to generating economic activity, beOnd’s new base will enhance Bahrain’s global connectivity, making it a more attractive destination for both tourists and business travelers. The partnership also reflects Bahrain’s commitment to supporting private-sector growth and advancing aviation training, as well as enhancing its maintenance capabilities.

beOnd’s expansion strategy is indicative of a broader trend in premium leisure travel, with airlines increasingly focusing on offering personalized services for high-end travelers. The airline’s vision is to create a network of luxury-focused operations that span multiple regions, ensuring passengers enjoy seamless service across destinations. This multi-hub strategy will allow beOnd to serve a diverse range of markets while maintaining its high standards of service.

As part of its commitment to premium leisure travel, beOnd also plans to further develop its fleet and expand its service offerings in the coming years. The airline has set ambitious targets to increase its fleet to up to 56 aircraft by 2030, with bases in the Maldives, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, the U.S., and India. This expansion positions beOnd to tap into the growing demand for premium travel, which is expected to rise significantly in the coming years.

While expanding into the Middle East and other regions, beOnd has reaffirmed its commitment to the Maldives as a central hub for its operations. With plans to base 22 aircraft in the region, the airline intends to continue offering premium services from the Maldives and expand its routes to over 30 destinations by 2030. The Maldives will remain an essential part of beOnd’s multi-hub network, providing travelers with direct access to one of the most exclusive and sought-after leisure destinations in the world
